The Role:

As Program Manager, you will oversee the delivery of a Family Preservation program that works with families where there is a risk of significant harm, with a focus on keeping children safely within their homes. You will lead a team of Team Leaders and practitioners, supporting them through coaching, supervision, and a reflective practice model. A core part of the role involves embedding trauma-informed and family-centred approaches, monitoring service quality, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with funding and legislative requirements. You will manage risks, lead data reporting, contribute to system design, and work closely with partners to provide coordinated, impactful support. The role requires frequent presence in each of the three metro offices and is central to maintaining a strong and responsive team culture.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Social Work or relevant equivalent qualification
  • Experience in operational management in community or family services
  • Demonstrated leadership with multidisciplinary teams working with vulnerable families
  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation, risk assessment, and trauma-informed practice
  • Skilled in coaching, supervision, and team development
  • Proven ability to meet service targets and lead quality improvement
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage program budgets and brokerage
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • Valid Working With Children Check and National Police Check
