The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech pathology services to children with additional needs and their families. You’ll apply evidence-based practices to design and implement interventions that support children’s communication goals, while building the capacity of their families. Your work will focus on children aged 0-18 years old and will involve conducting assessments, developing tailored therapy plans, and documenting outcomes in line with professional and organisational standards. You’ll be expected to manage your caseload efficiently, meet billable hour targets, and ensure timely reporting to support children’s ongoing development.
You will collaborate closely with families, colleagues, and external professionals to provide holistic, family-centred care. Respecting cultural diversity and treating every family with dignity is central to your practice. You’ll take part in team meetings, supervision, and professional development to maintain and grow your skills, while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture. Your role also includes keeping up to date with current research and best practices, participating in community and interagency forums where relevant, and adhering to all policies, procedures, and child safety standards.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology or related field
- SPA Registration
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to own car
- NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, and National Police Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
