The role:
In this role as an Occupational Therapist, you'll be delivering specialized therapeutic services to a diverse range of clients in a mobile, community-based setting. You will support both paediatric and adult clients, offering services that include functional capacity assessments, cognitive and emotional evaluations, mental health support, home modification assessments, and the development of treatment plans aimed at helping clients achieve their goals. Your caseload will span across NDIS, private clients, mental health, neurological conditions, HCP, and aged care, ensuring you have the opportunity to focus on your area of preference with an 80:20 split.
As part of the clinical team, you'll manage your own schedule and provide therapy in various locations such as residential homes, aged care facilities, schools, and aquatic centres. Your role will require a proactive approach to professional development, maintaining up-to-date records as per AHPRA guidelines, and consistently delivering high-quality services that align with the organization’s values. Additionally, you’ll be expected to complete report writing and clinical documentation promptly, contributing to the organization’s mission of delivering exceptional client care.
You’ll be supported in your professional journey through regular meetings, training, and team collaborations, ensuring you remain aligned with the organization's core values and vision. Your role will also involve meeting set clinical KPIs, participating in WHS activities, and possibly mentoring other team members. This position is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to make a significant impact across the lifespan in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Essential Criteria- Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant discipline
- AHPRA registration (accepting of limited registration)
- Experience supporting clients availing of NDIS services
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Orientation Modules
- Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Professional Indemnity Insurance and Professional Liability
