The Role

This position is part our senior management group and reports directly to the General Manager Operations. Overseeing our aged care and disability programs across the NT, this position will require periodic travel to regional offices.  We are really looking for an engaged leader who comes with extensive knowledge and experience in the allied health/aged care sector.

You will lead the Darwin-based aged care and disability support services. This includes overseeing age care funding agreements across the NT and fee-for-service activities, such as Home Care Packages and NDIS support. Your contributions will inform the consolidation of policies, procedures, systems, and processes to support growth, reforms, and transitions.

Your collaborative leadership style, paired with your business acumen, will be instrumental in building high-functioning teams and working seamlessly with management across regions. Moreover, your expertise will resource accreditation processes and maintain high-quality, responsive, and cost-efficient services.

Essential Criteria:
 

  • Tertiary qualifications (preferably with post graduate studies) in the health / human services field along with eligibility for registration / membership with relevant professional body.
  • Extensive direct practice, service coordination, operational management and service implementation experience including oversight of multidisciplinary teams and diverse service delivery models.
  • Executive / Senior Management level experience within the allied health, aged care, disability services sector. An inspiring nationally engaged leader with recognised expertise.
  • Extensive current knowledge of the Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) sector with a sound understanding of associated regulations, frameworks and reforms.
  • Highly developed supervision and mentoring skills with an authentic orientation towards collaboration and a strong record of enabling teams (managers and their staff) to perform well.
  • Experience in planning, aligning services to standards, monitoring contract performance and meeting targets, outcomes and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing data and feedback and a record of integrating learnings and lived experience perspectives into service design and practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to represent the interests of Anglicare NT in high level meetings, sector forums, with stakeholders and to establish service level agreements and partnership approaches.
  • Strong ICT and writing skills and a record of authoring successful funding proposals, reports and papers.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budgets, variance reports, modelling for tenders & fee-based activities
