The Role:
Within this position, you will make a difference to survivors of complex childhood trauma residing in therapeutic residential care programs. This service operates on a 24/ 7 basis and you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to children residing in 5 properties. There are between 5 and 8 service users in each property.
As a Clinical Lead, you will play a crucial role in using your clinical expertise and evidence-based therapeutic services to provide an effective delivery of social and psychological assessments, intake and transition supports and provision of therapeutic interventions. Whereby there is work from home flexibility within this role, the clinical lead will be required to be onsite in the different homes to best support the needs of the clients.

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Therapeutic interventions, assessment, referral, and consultation services to support children and young people in out of home care.
  • Delivering clinical expertise, supervision, and support to employees regarding ethical and effective ways to address the social, clinical, and wellbeing needs of children and young people.
  • Attending regular case reviews and case conferences whilst modelling professional, ethical, and respectful practices.
  • Contributing to the development and review of service procedures and practices, ensuring that ethical, moral, legal, and contractual best practice standards are achieved.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all administration tasks such as case notes, collation of data and analysis, and progress reports.
Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelors degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy or Counselling is essential.
  • Prior work experience in therapeutic service/program with children and/or young people.
  • Hold a current valid Driver’s License and willingness to drive.
  • Hold or complete a Working with Children Check, National Police Check and an approved First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
  • Hold and maintain a Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate.
  • Be prepared to undergo a Psychological Assessment
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
