The Role:
As the State Community Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic team of allied health practitioners across various locations in Victoria. Your primary responsibility involves providing day-to-day management, mentoring, and clinical guidance to ensure the team meets the evolving demands of the organisations Health & Wellness centres co-located with residential aged care facilities. Engaging in recruitment, induction, and orientation processes, you will contribute to building a skilled and motivated workforce that aligns with the values and code of conduct.
In the realm of business management, you will be entrusted with operating within budget constraints and contributing to the growth and promotion of the organisation. This includes setting and achieving program objectives, managing operational requirements, and actively participating in business development initiatives. Your role extends to preparing relevant reports, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and fostering a positive workplace culture that supports staff retention and continuous improvement.
On a personal level, you will be a champion of the organisations commitment to quality care. Upholding open communication with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with legislation and occupational health & safety regulations are integral aspects of your role. Additionally, you will actively engage in professional development, both for yourself and your regional team, contributing to overall educational initiatives. Regular participation in the Quality Assurance Program underscores your commitment to evidence-based practices and safety within the organization. As a key player, your leadership will contribute to the ongoing success and impact of our allied health services in the community.
Essential Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Full registration with AHPRA
  • 3 years' experience in Allied Health leadership role
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with older clients
  • Driving License and access to a fully insured car
  • Current Police Check
  • Hold valid insurance
