The role:

As a Speech Pathologist you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized Allied Health services to children aged 0-7 and their families who are accessing the NDIS. In close collaboration with families, carers, and other staff, the Speech Pathologist is responsible for planning and developing effective Speech Pathology services, focusing on supporting the implementation of therapeutic support strategies and interventions. Your aim aim is not only to provide high-quality assessments and review reports but also to empower families by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to continue implementing strategies beyond the service's completion.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work in tandem with other professionals, such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Early Childhood Educators, Behaviour Support Practitioners, and Assistants. You will liaise with early childhood and other service providers, ensuring comprehensive care. The role extends its services to older children with disabilities, bridging the gap between early childhood and older age services. Essential Criteria
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology
  • Registration with SPA
  • Experience in early childhood or early intervention (desirable)
  • Current Police Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check
  • Driving License
