The role:
As a Speech Therapist, your primary focus is to support patients and participants in maintaining independent living within the community through the delivery of high-quality Speech Therapy assessments and interventions. The role involves working within the frameworks of Aged Care and disability, adhering to best practice standards, and aligning with individualized plans of care and services.

In the realm of patient service, you will be dedicated to providing professional, confidential, and culturally safe interventions. This includes assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders. Integrated service delivery is paramount, with a holistic approach to health care, education for families on speech disorders, and coordination with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The commitment to continuous improvement and quality is evident through active participation in the organization's quality system, compliance with Aged Care Accreditation Standards and NDIS Practice Standards, and contributing to continuous improvement processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, actively engages in professional development to stay informed about advancements in the field, and fosters an environment of innovation within the team.

Work health and safety are paramount, with a focus on incident reporting, cooperation with WHS obligations, and proactive hazard identification. Finally, in professional practice, you will deliver excellent clinical care through various programs and funding streams, conducts comprehensive assessments, and designs individualized treatment plans. Continuous professional development, supervision, and training contribute to the growth and development of both you and the supporting staff, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients and participants.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Minimum 1 years experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards
  • Current Police Check and Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Valid Driving License and access to fully insured car
