The role:
In this role your primary responsibility will be to deliver NDIS therapeutic supports, in alignment with your clients' goals and aspirations. You will utilize your high level of clinical skills to conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and provide targeted therapy to children and teenagers with disabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and complex case load and also to specialise in alignment with your career goals and aspirations.
In addition to your clinical duties, you will actively promote the NDIS Speech Therapy service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with consumers, their families, and other caregivers to ensure coordinated care and support. Furthermore, you will work closely with internal and external service providers to facilitate services in line with your clients NDIS plan. Meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adhering to relevant policies, practice standards, and codes of ethics are expected.
Supervision programs, and relevant training opportunities will be made available to support your professional development. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of a supportive team environment and prioritize the safety of their work and services by complying with OH&S guidelines. Staying up-to-date with current Speech Therapy practice and theory is essential.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Registration or eligibility for SPA
- Drivers' license
- Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Workers Check
