Our client is a leading provider of speech pathology services. They focus on delivering assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions. The organisation is dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals by providing professional and clinical services across various settings.

The Role:

The Speech Pathologist will collaborate with individuals, carers, organisations, and key partners to deliver high-quality speech pathology services. You will assess, prescribe, and implement solutions that improve communication, focusing on assistive technology and AAC. This role may involve mentoring students and providing supervision to colleagues, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred assessments, interventions, and professional advice on AAC and assistive technology.
  • Prepare clinical reports, funding applications, and recommendations for therapy services.
  • Deliver training to carers, health professionals, schools, and service providers.
  • Supervise and mentor students (Levels 6 & 7) and colleagues (Level 7).
  • Participate in research, service development projects, and conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Develop educational materials and resources to support service delivery

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
  • Expertise in assistive technology and AAC in aged care or disability sectors.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision (for Level 6 and 7 positions).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid Certificate.
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
