The Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you'll be responsible for:
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of speech/language and swallowing or mealtime skills.
  • Develop individualised therapy plans to address communication challenges.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and techniques.
  • Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring client progress through ongoing evaluation and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Providing education and support to clients, their families, and caregivers
Essential Criteria
  • Desirable field experience (e.g., 2 years minimum), new graduates welcome.
  • SPA Membership.
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Solid knowledge of disability sector, including NDIS, assessment services, and/or private practice.
  • Proven track record with positive outcomes working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Required checks: NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children, National Police Clearance.
  • Possession of valid Australian Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods.
