The Role
Make a difference to the lives of people with disability by joining a values based not-for-profit as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. A community based role where you will manage a clinical portfolio of clients requiring positive behaviour support interventions and discipline specific interventions, specialising in Paediatrics.
Taking a person-centred approach you will involve clients and their families in service planning and use various models to assess, plan and implement interventions that influence behaviours of concern.

The Role
Make a difference to the lives of people with disability by joining a values based not-for-profit as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. A community based role where you will manage a clinical portfolio of clients requiring positive behaviour support interventions and discipline specific interventions, specialising in Paediatrics.
Taking a person-centred approach you will involve clients and their families in service planning and use various models to assess, plan and implement interventions that influence behaviours of concern.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to understand the causes of challenging behaviors.
- Develop individualised behavior support plans tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Regularly review and update behaviour support plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviours.
- Provide direct support and guidance to clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, intervention plans, and client progress.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for funding bodies, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders as required.
- Engage with clients and their families to understand their goals and preferences, incorporating them into behaviour support plans.
Essential Criteria
- A current NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Registration
- Be a Psychologist with AHPRA, A Counsellor with ACA or PACFA, or a Social Worker with AASW
- Experience in Paediatrics
- Drivers licence and own car
- Willingness to obtain NDIS worker screening check, Police Check & WWCC
