Our Client:
Our client is a trusted leader in allied health services, providing comprehensive support to individuals with disabilities and seniors. Specialising in assistive technology and home modifications, they deliver person-centred physiotherapy services aimed at improving mobility, independence, and overall wellbeing.
The Role:
As a Physiotherapist, you will assess and treat aged care clients in their own homes, helping them achieve their wellness and mobility goals. Your responsibilities include delivering personalised physiotherapy interventions, assessing mobility needs, prescribing assistive technologies, and creating tailored home exercise and falls prevention programmes. The role involves collaboration with carers, health professionals, and other service providers to ensure clients receive optimal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct person-centred physiotherapy assessments to evaluate mobility and functional abilities.
- Design and implement tailored home exercise programmes for aged care clients.
- Provide expert advice on assistive technology, including mobility aids.
- Develop and deliver falls prevention programmes to enhance client safety.
- Prepare professional reports and funding applications for assistive technology and related services.
- Collaborate with carers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
- Ensure compliance with best practice standards in physiotherapy and aged care.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration.
- Passion for person-centred care, with a focus on enhancing mobility and independence in aged care clients.
- Experience in delivering home-based physiotherapy services, particularly in the aged care sector.
- Strong understanding of assistive technology and mobility aids.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for client appointments.
