The role:
An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated and enthusiastic allied health team. The current focus is on delivering early childhood intervention supports, with a need for an experienced therapist to broaden the service to a wider age range in both therapeutic and assessment capacities.

Responsibilities: 
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate a person’s ability to carry out essential daily tasks, building on their current strengths, needs, and priorities.
  • Support individuals’ inclusion and participation in their chosen communities.
  • Conduct in-clinic and community-based occupational therapy assessments, including activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety.
    • Equipment prescription and clinical justification, from basic to complex specialised equipment.
    • Recommendation of community-based services.
    • Equipment applications for various government programs.
    • Assessment, intervention, and report writing for compensable clients.
    • Clearly communicate assessed needs to clients and funding organizations within appropriate timeframes.
  • Provide clients with all available options and solutions within assessment briefs and NDIS funding guidelines.
  • Advise family members, carers, employers, and teachers about adapting clients' environments.
  • Plan and direct programs through vocational, recreational, remedial, social, and educational activities on an individual and group basis.
Essential Criteria:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Cleared and valid police check, WWCC & NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance (minimum cover $10 million).
  • Valid driver’s license (if travel is required for the role).
