Occupational Therapist - Aged Care

Part-time OT required to work 15 hours per week for 6 months maternity leave cover in a small residential facility in Perth's Northern Suburbs.

The Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in improving residents’ health and well-being through personalised care plans and engaging lifestyle programs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care needs
• Developing and delivering lifestyle and activity programs
• Providing supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants and Lifestyle Coordinators
• Conducting assessments related to mobility, cognition, and engagement
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external health providers
• Ensuring compliance with aged care quality standards and reporting requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
• Experience in aged care or a similar setting (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective therapy programs
• Commitment to resident-centred care and well-being
