This role is focused on supporting individuals aged 15-19 to reach their full potential through the development and implementation of functional goals. The position also offers an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work with adults living independently in the community, with multiple potential locations available.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering person-centered support to assist teenagers and young adults in achieving their goals through a variety of evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maximize client outcomes.
- Conducting clinical assessments and developing individual therapy plans.
- Completing Functional Capacity Assessments.
- Providing consultation and training to stakeholders such as support workers, workplaces, and educational institutions.
- Offering direct, individualized support and advice on future planning for study or employment.
- Building the capacity of families and other support networks within the community, education, and employment sectors.
- Engaging in professional development to maintain and enhance your skills.
Essential Criteria
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the relevant professional body.
- Experience working effectively with individuals with a range of disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
