The Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role enhancing the independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, spanning both children and adults, enabling them to live their best lives.

Your duties will include:
  • Assessing and prescribing assistive technology and home modifications to enhance independence, safety, and well-being.
  • Conducting functional capacity assessments and collaborating with stakeholders to develop tailored support plans.
  • Home assessments, schools based work and onsite appointments.
  • Prepare professional reports and equipment funding applications with consideration to relevant standards and providing clinical reasoning and recommendations on assistive technology, home modifications and related therapy services.
  • Providing assistive technology education and training to external stakeholders as required.  
  • Contributing to service development and ensuring clinical best practices are upheld.

Essential Criteria
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Current registration with AHPRA and experience working with people with disabilities or assistive technologies.
  • Full AHPRA Registration & tertiary qualification.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and initiative-taking skills.
  • Passion for person-centered support and enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology assessment and willingness to upskill in home modification assessment.
  • Familiarity with the NDIS sector and advanced interpersonal skills.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check, First Aid, CPR, Driver Licence
  • Proficiency in ICT, including databases and Microsoft Office suite applications.
