The Role:
The Family Support Manager oversees and directs our Clients’ Family Support, with a focus on enhancing the health and wellbeing of children and families. Key responsibilities include fostering resilience, bolstering family capabilities, streamlining operations to reduce vulnerability, and mitigating risks of family instability and harm to children. This pivotal role entails spearheading service enhancements, managing referrals and assessments, crafting tailored case plans, executing promotional initiatives, overseeing budgets, and providing guidance to team members. Ensuring a secure, productive, and efficient work environment for the team is paramount. The incumbent will be an integral member of our clients leadership team.
Criteria:
This fixed term contract would be suited to somebody off contract with no notice period who lives locally and who is open to contract opportunities.

The Role:
The Family Support Manager oversees and directs our Clients’ Family Support, with a focus on enhancing the health and wellbeing of children and families. Key responsibilities include fostering resilience, bolstering family capabilities, streamlining operations to reduce vulnerability, and mitigating risks of family instability and harm to children. This pivotal role entails spearheading service enhancements, managing referrals and assessments, crafting tailored case plans, executing promotional initiatives, overseeing budgets, and providing guidance to team members. Criteria:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in social work or equivalent (A social work degree is preferred however other degrees will be considered)
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role demonstrating ethical family casework capability and a sound operational framework for working with families delivered in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate, engage and work with children, young people and parents/carers from diverse backgrounds
- Expert knowledge of the key issues, legislation, regulations, policies and frameworks in family support and child protection
- Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle
