The Role:
Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment is seeking Community Engagement Coordinator to join a growing Not-For-Profit within the NDIS and Aged Care remit. This organisation is well established in other states and is looking to expand their team into Melbourne's western suburbs. You will be strong applicant if you have experience in Community Engagement, Administration or Intake and Referrals.

In your role, you will focus on fostering robust relationships with young people, their families, and local communities to coordinate and develop community-based programs tailored to client needs. You'll be involved in crafting and implementing marketing strategies to enhance community awareness and participation in these programs. Additionally, it is vital to maintain accurate records and ensure all safety protocols and risk assessments are up to date. Emphasizing teamwork, you'll contribute to a supportive environment, demonstrating strong communication and conflict resolution skills, while also ensuring the workplace is safe and healthy for both staff and customers.

You will handle the complete intake process for new clients, from taking referrals over the phone or in person to managing administrative tasks and weekly data reporting. This involves professional management of referrals, ensuring new clients are efficiently allocated to suitable programs, and maintaining up-to-date database records. Continuously improving these processes will be a key part of your role, along with developing relationships with other service providers to enhance the referral pathway.

Administratively, you will manage essential departmental documents, schedule meetings, and coordinate various events, ensuring efficient operation within your department. Your responsibilities will include meticulous record-keeping, acting as a liaison for your department with internal and external stakeholders, and providing top-tier customer service. Supporting your supervisors and team members with their schedules and administrative needs will also be integral to your daily tasks, ensuring a streamlined and effective office environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Community Engagement, Administration or Intake and Referrals
  • Collective experience across all areas is desired but is not essential
  • Desirable experience working with a Not-For-Profit in NDIS and/or Aged Care remits
  • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders in the community
  • Ability to communicate and build rapport with culturally and linguistically diverse clients (speaking Chinese would be desirable)
