The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader (Behaviour Support) to join our client’s team. This role involves leading and mentoring a small team of Behaviour Support Clinicians, ensuring that quality services are delivered to NDIS participants. The Team Leader will also manage a small client caseload, providing expert support and guidance to ensure that behaviour support plans and interventions are effective and evidence-based.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to a team of Behaviour Support Clinicians
  • Complete functional behaviour assessments and develop behaviour support plans
  • Ensure adherence to NDIS Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices Rules 2018
  • Monitor compliance with reporting timeframes and restrictive practice guidelines
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices within the team
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and ensure team compliance with the Quality and Safeguards PBS Capability Framework
Essential Criteria
  • Degree in Behaviour Analysis, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, or Behavioural Science
  • Eligibility for registration with the relevant professional association
  • Advanced or Proficient registration as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of behaviour support clinicians or other allied health professionals
  • Experience in conducting behaviour assessments for NDIS participants
  • Knowledge of restrictive practices and legislation, with experience in developing plans to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices
  • Ability to provide training and professional development in your field of expertise
  • Understanding of relevant NT and Commonwealth legislation and service standards
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and manage conflict effectively
  • NT Driver’s licence or ability to obtain one
