About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. This role involves delivering evidence-based behavioural interventions to individuals with disabilities, their families, and support networks. You will design and implement tailored Positive Behaviour Support plans that align with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, helping participants achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

As a practitioner, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to provide holistic and integrated support. Responsibilities include conducting functional behaviour assessments, training support teams, and adhering to ethical and legislative standards. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while fostering growth and inclusion within diverse communities. We can tailor a caseload to suit your interests and local area.
 

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification and registration in allied health fields such as Social Work and Psychology is preferred
  • Core, Proficient, or Advanced Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner status.
  • Experience in the disability sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework and Restrictive Practices.
  • High cultural awareness, particularly in working with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and CALD communities.
  • Strong communication, case management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check, a valid Australian driver’s license, and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain your own ABN.
