The Role:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide Positive Behaviour Support to participants under the NDIS, focusing on reducing behaviours of concern while enhancing participants' quality of life. You will conduct assessments, develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans, and train stakeholders on best practices and strategies. Your role will involve working closely with participants, their families, and other professionals to foster a positive and supportive environment. You will contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the Behaviour Support Services, while ensuring all work aligns with the organisation’s values, culture, and strategic direction. Additionally, you will engage in continuous personal development, share expertise with your colleagues, and work efficiently within your scope of practice.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • NDIS registration to work as a BSP - Core, Proficient or Advanced.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and NDIS.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication, and flexible in interpersonal interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Unrestricted Australian driver's license, and current WWC and Police Clearance.
